I ordered this Asus AiGuru SV1T from Amazon. Two weeks ago suddenly it was not able to boot itself up. I received message said "Boot fail......". I immediately noticed that my SV1T might have a hard disk failure. I called Asus for RMA and complete the Asus complex RMA requirements and shipped my device to the Asus service center in CA. Today I got my swap device (Tech were not able to fix my original device). When I opened the box, my heart just dropped to bottom of ocean. What a piece of junk I just got it? A lot of scratches on the front of device. The touch screen is not responding well (Compared with my original device). I don't understand what kind of the customer service that Asus is running? My original device has a like new condition and came back with a piece of junk. It is totally not acceptable and outrage. If you are interesting to have this device, think about what possible you will get later. Not worth to put your money on this company and its products because Asus has poor service quality.

I recommend this product for videoconferencing through skype. The sound and the video are very clear. But the battery seems to to be very weak. You cannot talk more than 30 minutes without charging the device.

This is the solution for any kind of person which don't use laptop or PC.
Great for old people or if you want to have 100% availability video phone without a PC always turned on.
Here some comments:
- Video quiality good enough for a video call with 3M pixels. No delays between voice and video and very fluent movements, even better than PC.
- Sound is great! Very good speakerphone loud enough and with volume control. Microphone is configured to have echo cancelation, so no feedback or background noise is presented.
- Easy to connect to any network (Wi-fi or Wired)
- Easy to answe a call, easy to make a call, easy to review lost calls, very nice light to indicate events.
- Easy look for a contact.

This is our second one. The first ended up in Japan being used by my Son's family. We bought one for use here in the USA for ease of use especially for my wife. Works great if you use Skype to talk to your away family.

Bought this product for my 84 year old mother in Florida. She isnt very good with computers. I had my sister help with the broadband andinitial setup. We were talking and seeing each other in one hour. I live in the midwest and cant afford to travel to see her. My mother cried the first time we used the vidiophone. Since then her contact list keeps growing. Cant wait for a newer model. Unit has its imperfections, but there is no alternative. Thanks asus for making a product that doesnt need a genius to operate. thanks skype for keeping this product on the market. you need more exposure in AARP magazine.
