the design is not very high tech looking September 2, 2010 Julia Cannistra (Hawai'i, USA) i'm looking for a skype phone, but when i saw this one, i could not help to think about
old nokia cellphones. the design is not very high tech looking in my opinion.
A device of last resort ... May 27, 2010 Michael P. Myers (Central California) The phone is recognized by the computer with no problems. However, I would not recommend it except as a back up device. It is very difficult to hear and be heard on it.
As expected, no problems May 5, 2010 Kacy (Miami, FL USA) I'm a skypeaholic. I got this phone because the speakers on my little notebook are not very loud and if I happen to be in another room, I can't hear the ringing when calls come in. I really hoped that this phone would solve that problem and happily it did.
Installing the software was fairly easy and it works as I expected.
It's a basic phone, but it suits my needs. I kinda wish I had gone for the cordless as it would have given me more flexibility, but since I wasn't sure if it was going to solve my problem, I didn't want to make a bigger investment at first.
Convenient, simple USB phone. March 16, 2010 Ralph E. Walker (Baton Rouge, LA) This VOIP phone plugs into a USB port to provide the comfort and privacy of a regular phone call over VOIP (Skype).
Poor product March 12, 2010 Luis M. Martinez (Florida) I have just purchased a VOIP/Skype phone from Computer Geeks and I am facing the following problems using it with Acer Aspire One 751 running Windows XP Home:
1- Noise while hearing calls or voice mail. This makes the device useless.
2- I have installed Skypemate 4.0.2.2 (latest version in [...]). I am using Skype 4.1.0.179. I can not see in the display the contact names while scrolling down the list. This means that the phone is only valid to dial and place/accept phone calls, but not able to review the contact list, select and make the phone call from the list.
I have requested support from Computer Geeks and no answer to my e-mail. I will throw the phone to the trash as it is not worth the cost to return it.
