I was doubtful of this at first but when it arrived 2 business days after placing the order, i was impressed. i must also say that the headset is wonderful for the price. the mic is very clear. i'm in love with it. i use it most of the time for voice overs and it turns out beautiful all the time. This is the thing to get.
Also Mark is a wonderful person. You wont be disappointed. All my thumbs up.

I had these same EXACT headset under a different brand name.
The unit requires one single AAA battery to "simulate" the Surround sound...
But in reality all that you will notice is that when you turn on the "surround", it increases the volume and bass a little, but that is all.
You still won't be able to tell whether if the sounds are coming from the front, back, etc.
Doesn't sound bad for the price, but don't expect surround.

This is a great general purpose set of headphones that raises the bar for high performance at an exceptional price. Obviously there are better headsets in the world but never at this price. The SRS Surround Sound is nice feature but it isn't completely necessary because the headphones already have plenty of dynamic range. Music with heavy bass sounds great and high notes aren't muffled. The mic is probably the biggest surprise and easily the best feature. Sound quality through the mic is very clear and crisp and external voices and background noises are kept to a minimum. The headset is generally comfortable to wear but a little like a new pair of shoes. Long hours of wearing them will be annoying at first but it gets better the more you use them. This is an awesome headset and a bargain that I recommend to anyone!

I've had a few different headphones over the years. Ear buds are small and portable but I never really liked wearing them because they never stayed put. Larger headphones that nearly cover the ear feel better to wear but they never really sound terrific. I've found that you only get full range sound when you have a good sized headset like these.
These headphones are reasonably sized and fit comfortably and really sound terrific. The bass is really great compared to any other headphones and you really feel submerged in sound. Turn on music or watch a movie and you quickly forget your surroundings. This headset also seems like it was made with comfort in mind because it has lots of padding and surfaces that seem like real leather. (It must be leather but I'm not completely sure how it could be true at this price.)
The truth is that the 3D Surround feature sounds great but isn't completely necessary. It operates with a battery and this makes it possible to use this headset with ANY audio device with a headphone jack. If you're like me you'll appreciate having the 3D Surround Sound and microphone available but you won't use it all the time. Remove the battery or leave the feature off and the headphones still sounds as good as any I've heard. The microphone also swivels out of the way when you're not using it. Controls on the battery pod lets you adjust volume and mute the microphone and its usually easier to make adjustments there than it is to dig the MP3 player out of your pocket or fiddle with your computer.
Search for headphones with the same model number as these and you'll find the iMego headset is identical to another brand in every way which makes these an even more exceptional bargain.
