2 out of 5 stars Good idea, didnt work for me   September 5, 2010
Gretchen Collier (beatsville, LA)
I give this a 2 star because the concept is good, but the product did not work for me, and i see later it is nonreturnable, which is a shame. Guess I'll add it to my drawer of orphan adaptors. I tried it with 2 different headsets and the voice part did not register on my computer with either set. I also had to piggyback with another adaptor. It may be my PC, the only way I can get things to work is with an actual microphone. So be warned.

5 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to   July 25, 2010

It's an adapter and it adapts as it supposed to. Allows use of phone headset for PC chat. Pretty simple. Quick ship

5 out of 5 stars Adapter... works as advertised   July 16, 2010
T. ROBERTSON (San Diego, CA United States)
There seems to be some confusion as to the use of this adapter. From prior comments I'm guessing the product name/description has changed. This is specifically for adapting a headset with a 2.5mm plug (typically a headset for use with a phone) for use on your computer. This is exactly what I needed as I like the performance and quality of some of the phone headsets I've used in the past and wanted to be able to use them with my computer.

My current keyboard has its own USB sound device built in so I could use my headset for chat (skype/teamspeak/ventrillo/etc) while still having my full speaker setup for whatever else I was doing. This not only provided me with the level of immersion I wanted out of my game/movie/whatever but also isolated my chat so I could clearly hear who I was talking to.

1 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.   March 19, 2010

THe ad is misleading. It says it will work with an iPhone jack but it DOES NOT. The female adapter is too small. I just wasted my money on this and will be contacting the seller if possible.

3 out of 5 stars It is what it is, but it isn't stereo.   January 7, 2010

The construction quality on this is very good, and it will work very well for what it is designed to do. However, it is *NOT* designed to take a *STEREO* output from the computer, so forget about using this with any stereo headset. The female end only has three connections, one for ground, one for mic and one for mono sound.
